Baaaaaaa... (Psalm 23)
I'm a sheep. Not just any sheep, but the sheep of The Good Shepherd, Jesus! Baaaa. Praise Him!
Today's sermon was on Psalm 23. Glory to Jesus.
Hebrews 13: 20-21 (Quoted from New Kings James Version)
20 Now may the God of Peace who brought our Lord Jesus from the dead,
that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant
21 make you complete in everygood work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. The Lord is sometimes described as the majestic eagle, and we're the eaglets. He's the teacher, and we're the disciples. But the the description of the Lord as "The Great Shepherd" and us the sheep is found the most in the bible.
Define Shepherd1 One who herds, guards, and tends sheep.
2 One who cares for and guides a group of people, as a minister or teacher.
Shepherding?
To herd, guard, tend, or guide as or in the manner of a shepherd.
A shepherd is someone who herds, guards, tends the sheep.
Jesus, the great shepherd is someone who herds and tends the flock with a love no one can comprehend. He guards with so much compassion that he would leave the 99 for that one sheep that has gone astray (Oh, and we're not the flock of 99 but the one sheep that had gone astray).
And we, are the sheep. The innocent sheep. Yea, some may argue that sheeps are stupid. But I rather be a stupid and provided, cared and loved sheep then a smart goat that go "but, but..." and die a quick death by falling of a cliff. :)

Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not
want.
"Want" here refers to
lack.
Having the Lord as your shepherd, you shall NOT lack.
Whoa. Here comes your miracles. Here comes your breakthroughs. Here comes your success! Why? Because the sheep follows. The sheep keeps it's eyes glued to the shepherd. The sheep allows the shepherd to lead it to
GREEN PASTURES! Hallelujiah!
Eyes on Jesus, my fellow sheep. Eye on our great Shepherd.
People of the world, sheep that are lost and have gone astray, seek love, seek happiness, seek comfort in discos, pubs, hotels, just to find the one who will love them unconditionly. They wake up next morning in the wrong arms, more broken then the previous night. Oh, how the great shepherd's heart goes out to all you lost sheep. He left the 99 to find you. This one lost sheep. And when he has found you, he'll carry you upon His shoulders, and rejoice! Because he has found this precious one sheep. You. His uncondition love for you can never be taken away. He loves you. You shall not lack when you see Him as your shepherd. :)
He's you provider, care-
er, lover, giver, you shall not lack.

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
What are the devil's puny works compared to our great shepherd? He is a Lord of abundance, and whatever he gives and provides are given and provided for more abundantly! So think BIG. Dream BIG! He's a faithful God of abundance. :)
My great great shepherd. Lead me in all my days of my life. Amen.
I'm your beloved sheep. The one you love the most. The sheep of your eye. Baa. :)
