Psalms 23:3 (2)

continuation of Psalms 23:3

He restores my soul,
he leads me in the paths of righteousness,
for His name's sake.

Yup. You guessed it. Today's topic would be on pride. I've mention the two kinds of pride; the "I'm-too-good-for-God" and the "I'm-too-lousy-for-God" kind of pride, both are equally not of God.

First, the "I'm-too-good-for-God" kind of pride. This is your typical snobbish arrogant people. They think they can get through life and its obstacles with their own strength. Work work work. Strive strive strive. No, I'm not condemning here. But sometimes it really fustrates me to see how some people think that they can do everything by their own strength. Get this, your flesh fails. If it doesn't, Adam and Eve wouldn't have been driven out of The Garden Of Eden.
Ive been it those situations that I'll think, "One more time Daddy, just let me try one more time, I'm sure I'll succeed, I'm sure I can control my own flesh. I'm sure."
Sounds familiar?

"One more night, and I'll break up with her and go back to my family."
"One more proposal, and I'll go home."
"One more puff, then I'll stop."

I'm sure you all know the end results. FAILURE. Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again when you know it's wrong. I was stupid then. Before I learnt to depend on God's strength. This pride. It doesn't leads you anyway. Give it to Daddy. Yes, now.

"Look at me. I'm ugly. I'm pock-faced, I'm fat, I'm short, I'm too skinny, I'm lousy at maths, I suck at chinese (Did i hear an amen? :)) I'm lousy, I'm (insert lousy terms here)."

Do you often catch yourself saying that subconciously? You know what? You don'y have too anymore. Since the day you've accepeted Christ, He is in you and you're in Him. Inseperable. The glory of Jesus is in you! WOOHOO! The greatest being in the universe is in... you! So, why are you still complaining. See yourself in Christ, and you'll become Christ.
Mat 14:29
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

Peter walked on water cause his eyes were on? JESUS!

Mat 14:30
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

But when he looked at His circumstance, and saw how lousy they were, he started to sink. One cry for the Lord, you'll be saved. See, no pride. "LORD, SAVE ME!" "LORD, HELP!"

Mat 14:31
And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

And Jesus helps. "Oh you of little faith. Believe more. Drink more from My fountain. Receive more of My love. Believe more in My grace. Trust more in My Strength."

And

Mat 14:32
And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

With Jesus in the vessel, the storms ceased. With Jesus in your life, your problems are no more. Storms are just temporary. How much more with Jesus in your life?! Trust and receive.

No pride. :)) All grace.

Follow the Good Shepherd, and His righteousness is in you. All glory be unto the Good Shepherd. Shameless for Christ. Throw away that thick layer of skin (pride) on your face. Go on. Burn it in God's heavenly incinerator. No pride. :)) Daddy, you'll lead me in the paths of righteousness. No pride, just relying on Your strength, Your grace, Your might. :) Shameless for Christ.

Psalms 23:3

3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

He restores my soul-
Feeling hopeless? All hope's gone? Then take a drink of of God's fountain. No matter how bad your circumstances seems, remember, they're NOT from God and don't worry. Nothing will come to you if it hasn't been passed through God. Howerever bad it seems, our God is a good God. No need for worry. Great need for hope. Great need for faith.
Read somewhere that eagles (yes, that's what we, God's children are.) are not troubled by storms. When the wind starts becoming much stronger and swifter, they spread their wings are rise higher and higher into the sky, soaring above the storms. Got the picture yet? Eagles, they soar above storms. Eagles, how much more God's eagles?

The same flood that covered the earth rose Noah's ark. The trials and tribulations we're facing now builds our perseverance. Perseverance builds character. So loosen up, drop all those bags of worry you're carrying (Traveling Light by Max Lucado- annoited annoited MOG.). And as dearest Serene (Godly babe!) told me to cast my cares upon Jesus, because he cares for me, (1 Peter 5:7) you should too.

Our Good Shepherd cares for His sheeps. And sheeps don't worry (because they're stupid) right? They follow the Shepherd because they know He's their provider, their lover, their care-er, their giver, their protection, the way. Thank God sheeps don't think or "but". They follow. I'm gonna follow my Good Shepherd. :) Are you? Baa?

Psalm 23: 2

He makes me lie in green pastures,
He leads me beside still waters.

Hey people. Back. It's has been rather stressful since I'd last blogged. And it's only Tues! School stuff are really piling. Now i guess i know what Alene dearie means by time pressing on her. :) But I have Jesus! My shepherd. The one who loves me and cares for me. No more stress. Daddy I give you my pride, my stress, my shame, my anguish. Strip me of all those. Strip me bare of all those Daddy.

He makes me lie in green pastures-
lie. Relaxing in the green pastures while the Shepherd is looking after you. Safe from enemies and dangers. Don't you want to relax like this? You know what? You can. Yup. Even right now.
Give. Give Daddy God your pride, give Him your callousness, give Him your weariness. Give Him your anguish. Let Him embrace you and lead you to green pastures.

"I would love to lie in Your green pastures Daddy. "
"Then come, you're always welcomed."

He leads me beside still waters.

Still waters. Not stagnant. But still, smooth, running trinkling water, like a stream. Peace. Go in peace. He leads you by the Holy Spirit. In a dilema? Call for help. The Holy Spirit is inside of you. Obey. If there's peace, then do it. If there's not, then don't. I pray that all, even me, will obey the Holy Spirit's call, and not resist. Submission is glory. Jesus, i the sheep follow my Great Shepherd. The lover of my life. :)

Baaaaaaa... (Psalm 23)

I'm a sheep. Not just any sheep, but the sheep of The Good Shepherd, Jesus! Baaaa. Praise Him!

Today's sermon was on Psalm 23. Glory to Jesus.

Hebrews 13: 20-21 (Quoted from New Kings James Version)
20 Now may the God of Peace who brought our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant
21 make you complete in everygood work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

The Lord is sometimes described as the majestic eagle, and we're the eaglets. He's the teacher, and we're the disciples. But the the description of the Lord as "The Great Shepherd" and us the sheep is found the most in the bible.

Define Shepherd

1 One who herds, guards, and tends sheep.
2 One who cares for and guides a group of people, as a minister or teacher.

Shepherding?
To herd, guard, tend, or guide as or in the manner of a shepherd.

A shepherd is someone who herds, guards, tends the sheep.
Jesus, the great shepherd is someone who herds and tends the flock with a love no one can comprehend. He guards with so much compassion that he would leave the 99 for that one sheep that has gone astray (Oh, and we're not the flock of 99 but the one sheep that had gone astray).

And we, are the sheep. The innocent sheep. Yea, some may argue that sheeps are stupid. But I rather be a stupid and provided, cared and loved sheep then a smart goat that go "but, but..." and die a quick death by falling of a cliff. :)
Lead me Daddy! :)

Psalm 23:1
The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.

"Want" here refers to lack.
Having the Lord as your shepherd, you shall NOT lack.
Whoa. Here comes your miracles. Here comes your breakthroughs. Here comes your success! Why? Because the sheep follows. The sheep keeps it's eyes glued to the shepherd. The sheep allows the shepherd to lead it to GREEN PASTURES! Hallelujiah!
Eyes on Jesus, my fellow sheep. Eye on our great Shepherd.

People of the world, sheep that are lost and have gone astray, seek love, seek happiness, seek comfort in discos, pubs, hotels, just to find the one who will love them unconditionly. They wake up next morning in the wrong arms, more broken then the previous night. Oh, how the great shepherd's heart goes out to all you lost sheep. He left the 99 to find you. This one lost sheep. And when he has found you, he'll carry you upon His shoulders, and rejoice! Because he has found this precious one sheep. You. His uncondition love for you can never be taken away. He loves you. You shall not lack when you see Him as your shepherd. :)

He's you provider, care-er, lover, giver, you shall not lack.

John 10: 10
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

What are the devil's puny works compared to our great shepherd? He is a Lord of abundance, and whatever he gives and provides are given and provided for more abundantly! So think BIG. Dream BIG! He's a faithful God of abundance. :)

My great great shepherd. Lead me in all my days of my life. Amen.
I'm your beloved sheep. The one you love the most. The sheep of your eye. Baa. :)

hey. recently i've been back to myself. the old covenant myself. Tempers flare, crying kicks in, wandering like no one's child. i guess it's pride, when i think, "it's ok Daddy, just a small matter. i can take caare of it." or, "No, no. Small matter. No need for Godly advice on this." That's where i'm wrong. Daddy, i need you. Without you I'm nothing. Take away my pride. No more. I knwo you love me and You are with me even when i feel the opposite. You love me. God is with me. Victory's mine. HA HA HA.

GREAT FRIDAY

Today with Serene watching Narnia. Reminded me of things. :) Daddy loves me. Really cried when Aslan died, it's Jesus who willingly sacrified His life for mine. Pathetic useless horrible undeserved me, made righteous and glorious because of His death. Oh Hallelujiah. shfhjkskdhjjwsfjkbasefbjawbefjbajkwefkjaf :) Daddy I love you. Because you first loved me. GET ENTHUSIASTIC

Thank God for Pastor Mark Hankins. Praise God. At first what I thought was a boring sermon turned out to be a super blessing. Praise God. He preached about faith and beliving- something like that. And get enthusiastic and rejoice 'cause the miracle you're needing is already yours! Faith without action is no use. No, not action like still trying to do, but action like REJOYCING! How hard's that? I'm gonna dance till the break of the day, 'cause He's a Good Lord, and He's mine and He's supplies are unlimited! Praise Jesus! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOO!

PRIDE.

Thank God for the Holy Spirit.
He told me something today. "Drop your pride, you are Jesus righteousness."
Stop. Stop looking at that salesperson like that. No, don't strut like a proud peacock.
Drop your pride. Jesus died for you. He's in you. You are His righteousness.
Marvel in His glory of you, not in your own glory.
I'm His righteousness, amen. He loves humility. Daddy, You are the Lord that nestles me against yYour bosom, rest me upon Your lap, embrace me with Your love. I thank You, I'm Jesus righteousness. Not of my own strength. :) The Lord is GOOD.

GOOD Lord

This past week has been a rather interesting one for me. Trust in the Lord, and you shall be blessed. Amen.
